This coming-of-age story is about Salman (played by writer/director Scott Pendergast), a guy who has not done too much with his life, who comes to the aid of his sister-in-law (Lisa Kudrow) and helps her raise her family while his brother is off fighting in Iraq. To make ends meet, Salman is forced to take a humiliating job standing on the side of the road in a large, blue mascot costume of a large corporation while handing out fliers to passing cars.
This is a very funny and charming film featuring many memorable moments. It is also, at the same time, a very touching and heartfelt look at a man who really tries to overcome himself in order to help out this family he cares so much about, all the while being an interesting social commentary on how the war effects people's lives.
So, you guys should check it out. Does it have any interest to you? And if you've seen it, what did you think?
